It's been too long since the premiere of the Lynch/Frost duo's Twin Peaks. Where does one start when attempting to describe the mythical, strange, unnerving program about the unaliving of the infamous Laura Palmer? For my OG Twin Peaks fanatics and Lynchians alike, it's safe to say that this television show is the symbol (and blueprint) of soap opera meets arthouse TV. If you're feeling nostalgic, stick with us.
I'm only a recent initiate of the Twin Peaks fanbase like many others (because we weren't alive while it was premiering), and I've noticed the fanbase is quite obsessive in the best way possible. Some name their tuxedo cats Agent Dale Cooper (me) and others still run dedicated meme accounts to show their appreciation for one of the best television programs of all time. The Red Room has become a symbol of the freaky and the unexplainable, and I'm sure you know that's how most viewers feel even after the second or third watch. You just always find something new, because Frost and Lynch intended for it to be this way. Whether you're more of a fan of Mark Frost than David Lynch or you simply can't stand any of the corny scenes James cries in, these memes will have you cackling quicker than you can say “BOB”.
